Lagos and Oyo states declared Wednesday public holiday Governor Babajide Sanwo olu of Lagos and governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State have declared Wednesday, August 20, 2025, a public holiday to mark this year’s Isese Day celebration. According to a circular issued by the Head of Service Lagos State , Huiel Agoro, the directive applies to all public servants. Also In Oyo, the announcement was made in a statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Professor Olanike Adeyemo signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Dr. Sulaimon Olanrewaju.
