Following three names earlier sent to the national assembly for ambassadorial screening, President Bola Tinubu has sent another list  of 32 ambassadorial nominees to the Senate for confirmation.

This was contained in  the two  letters sent  to the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio. 

According to Chief Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, the nominees comprise 17 non-career diplomats and 15 career officers selected to represent Nigeria in key international and multilateral institutions.

There are four women as  career ambassador nominees and six women as  non-career ambassador nominees .

2. Chief Femi Fani-Kayode (Osun) – Former Aviation Minister

3.Barrister Ogbonnaya Kalu (Abia)

4.Reno Omokri (Delta) – Former aide to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan

5.Chief Mrs Bisi Angela Adebayo (Ekiti) – Former Ekiti First Lady

6.Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi (Enugu) – Former Governor of Enugu State

7.Tasiu Musa Maigari (Katsina) – Former Speaker, Katsina House of Assembly

8.Yakubu N. Gambo (Plateau) – Former Plateau Commissioner.

9.Prof. Nora Ladi Daduut (Plateau) – Former Senator

10.Otunba Femi Pedro (Lagos) – Former Deputy Governor of Lagos State

11.Barr. Nkechi Linda Ufochukwu (Anambra) – Legal practitioner

12.Fatima Florence Ajimobi (Oyo) – Former First Lady of Oyo State

13.Lola Akande (Lagos) – Former Lagos State Commissioner

14.Grace Bent (Adamawa) – Former Senator

15.Dr. Victor Okezie Ikpeazu (Abia) – Former Governor of Abia State

16.Senator Jimoh Ibrahim (Ondo) – former Senator

17.Ambassador Paul Oga Adikwu (Benue) – Former Ambassador to the Holy See

Their specific country of deployment will be assigned and  announced by the President after the Senate completes their screening and confirmation process.
