Commitment start from individuals.This is not about the money or your social class but commitment to nationality, growth and development.

Everyone is looking at University of California or university of Cambridge , even the poor back it with prayers and night vigils 🌃 for their children. It is whatever you plan to consume that you will look after ,take care and develop. This is not to taunt anybody.,but this has made our education system worse off.
The textile industry that used to provide mass employment in the 1970s to 1980s is dead . Aso ebi for burial ceremonies are imported . School uniforms for the children are imported !
Innovative Aba shoes and bags are tagged, in order to buy imported .Artistic adire and aro clothes from Egbaland that our forefathers cherished have been abandoned for imitated imported ones .All these are countless ,just to mention a few .
The government officials and leaders are showing expected examples .Imagine foods , snacks and drinks for occasions being imported ! What do you call that , a show of wealth ?
Yet we all sing the song of the policy "buy Nigeria first "
The legislative body are there to pass the bill to law but in reality toothless in implementing and enforcing the policy on the ministries and parastatals. More so the legislature have not live by example in their purchases for the lawmakers .
Also ,the capitalist democratic system that we adopted has destroyed our spirit of collectivism and the sense of nationality is gone .
Individualism , personal wealth and enjoyment is prime . I own my money. I can spend it anyway and anyhow I like . Hmm.
