 DNA : 25% tests proved negative for 2025 : Smart DNA 


The new report from Smart DNA, one of  Nigeria’s leading DNA testing centre,  revealed that 25% of paternity tests conducted showed negative  .Thus means   one in every four Nigerian men who undergo paternity testing is not the biological father of the child in question.

This  report  2025 Annual DNA Testing for the firm  covers the period of  July 2024 to June 2025. It call for check on trust  relationships as it reflects the societal vices 

More so , it was observed that the bulk of the negative outcome fell on  firstborn males test with a whopping 64 % negative result.This means  no biological relation to their presumed fathers. Also  average older men aged 41 and above were the most fathers  initiating 45.5% of all the  tests. 

In the same vein, majority of the  children tested  were under the age of five with 58.6%.This indicates doubt,  lack of trust and the need to establish the truth  in fresh marriages in Nigeria. Lagos had the  lead in testing volume with 69% of all samples.
