Super Eagles hopeful for world cup.

- Wilfred Ndidi cleared to play against DR Congo 

The hope for Nigeria to fly the green white green flag in 2026 world cup came  more lively after the 4 - 1 bashing of the Gabonese on Tuesday in Morocco .

The super Eagles are to meet DR Congo on Sunday by 20.00hr (8:00pm Nigeria) tto determine the winner and representative for Africa in the world cup play off . The DR Congo  defeated Cameroon  with a late goal to secure 1-0  superiority on Tuesday in  Morocco.

Sunday's winner will  advance to the inter-confederation playoffs in March where six teams will battle for two places at the 2026 finals in Canada, Mexico and the United States.

The super Eagles have had six clashes with the Gabonese senior team with three to two wins in favour of  DR Congo

Meanwhile,the yellow card given to Wilfred Ndidi has been cleared and he is free to play in the African play off final against DR Congo on Sunday.
