Washington-Abuja- Beijing

Trump proposed eviction of Spain from NATO

       President Bola Tinubu

The new Circumstance or growing diplomatic row between Washington and Beijing on the disagreement about present security situation in Nigeria  calls for diplomatic solution .

While China has reaffirmed its support for President Tinubu’s government, US officials have raised concerns over alleged religious persecution , particularly Christians.

President Trump in his  post warned that he might send the military into Nigeria "guns-a-blazing"
Trump had said: "If we attack, it will be fast, vicious, and sweet, to protect Christians!"  The Department of War was instructed to prepare for action. Either the Nigerian Government protects Christians, or we will kill the Islamic Terrorists who are committing these horrible atrocities." Trump's threat triggered alarm across Nigeria.

However,in a swift reaction, Beijing has rejected the military interference by US. China’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Mao Ning, reaffirmed China’s support for Nigeria as a “comprehensive strategic partner,” urging respect for national sovereignty and development paths that reflect local realities.
In recent years, China and Nigeria  have strengthened strategic partnership and relationship through trade, development financing, and multilateral collaborations.

Ning also noted that China firmly supports the Nigerian government in leading its people along a development path suited to its national conditions days to discuss the issue

In an earlier response, Nigeria’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs debunked President Trump’s allegations.
President Tinubu also  reaffirmed its commitment to protecting citizens, combating violent extremism, and promoting interfaith relationship and harmony.
The government maintained religious liberty and continued to maintain open engagement with both Christian and Muslim leaders across the country. He added

The situation brewed  last month, when one of US lawmakers urged Secretary of State Marco Rubio to take diplomatic action over what he described as the “systematic persecution and slaughter of Christians”

He also advocated suspending arms sales to Nigeria until measurable progress was made in curbing violence.

Above all, according to  proverbial saying : Wild wind blows no good .
Both the government of US and China as well as other stakeholder nations are  encouraged to give all necessary diplomatic  and strategic helps toward solving the  challenges in Nigeria and any other countries instead of escalation of situation to offensive among nations  .
